I've noticed that while riding a hybrid is certainly a good compromise between having a mountain bike or a road bike, I am finding some parts - in particular wheels, are harder to find.
My Trek has 700c wheels and disc brakes. I'd like to end up with two wheel sets: the stock and a second set for 'road' tires. I'm going with some Schwalbe Marathon Supremes for the tires, but short of just going to the Trek dealer and buying a replacement set of wheels (which is what I might do, since I priced them and they are pretty cheap), I was wondering if I could get an upgraded set. I don't want to spend too much - at the point where I'm at 50% of what my bike cost, I'd probably just get a used road bike.
I've been to bicyclewheel.com and lots of other places, but I know I saw (from someone here) a place where I could pick and choose from rims, spokes and hubs. I can't find the darn site again, however.
