My family got a lot of stuff for me for touring for Christmas which was fun to play with today.

Today I put the tent up for the first time and it was pretty simple really.

Then came home after riding some and unpacked everything they got me and putting stuff in panniers.

So far, for organization, I am thinking:

Rear Pannier 1: Clothes
Rear Pannier 2: Sleeping pad, air pillow and quilt
Duffle: Tent, stakes, CPAP and perhaps rain clothes
Front panner 1: Kitchen stuff. Stove, coffee supplies (mmmm), spices, etc
Front pannier 2: I have no clue yet

Handlebar bag: All personal stuff. Camera, etc.

A suggestion:

This is how I use one of my front panniers. This is one of my old panniers, but my newest set is set up the same way. This works well for keeping things cool such as cheese or other food purchased during the day. Just stop at a convenience store, fill a water bottle with ice, and stow it with your perishables. It is made from a $4.99 Wal-Mart sleeping pad. This one was fabricated in a motel room one hot summer in Cody Wyoming. I thought it turned out pretty good considering our only cutting tool was a Swiss Army knife, and the use of duct tape. It is also good for carrying ice cream and yogurt home from the grocery store:)

Brilliant, Doug, just brilliant. A great place also to stow a camera and other electronic items that shouldn't be shaken or stirred.

Christmas was good for you!

I have been looking at your list but I can't seem to fit my clothes in a single pannier.

I also keep my camera in a bento box type of bag that is on top of the top tube and is connected to the stem. It only holds a camera. This is for getting quick access to my camera and I don't have to fish around in my front bag for it.

I use the front bag for personal items, valuables, medications and a simple first aid kit.

The second front pannier could be for tools and spare tubes and tire, lock and pannier locks. I normally carry a mini tool, folding tire, patch kit, a few tubes, cartridge inflator with plenty of spare cartridges and a pressure gauge. A lot of this goes in the saddle bag.

Looking good. I have the yellow Back Rollers too.

I was also going to suggest that you use part of the empty front pannier for tools. There's no reason you have to fill the panniers to the top. And anyway, you will be surprised just how easy it is to fill all those bags.

If the air mattress came with any instructions, I would check how much air you're supposed to put in it. It looks really full in that photo.
