Road Cycling - Now the proud owner of a Cannondale R500

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

All,
So I went to the shop, Mike's Bikes in Cambridge, UK. There it was - gleaming black 58 cm CAAD3 Frame, Coda cranks and brakes, Tiagra Flight Deck. Instantly in love!! Took the bike, some new M515 spds and got a great deal on some Shimano shoes. I also got a parking ticket (not so good) while I was there (noticed the traffic warden while I was on my way around the test ride), but so did the shop owner. When I mentioned it, the shop deducted the cost of the ticket from the price of the bike!
So, I join the numberless ranks of stiffbacks! God it feels good to be here.
Best,
Duncan

I think you should do lots of business with this bike shop.

Yeah - they're good friends of mine already (kind of - new staff turnover kind of thing) - I bought his n' hers GT mountain bikes there a few years ago. 'Course there's no such thing anymore (sigh)
Pics will take a while - wifey doesn't know about the bike yet - she's gonna amasculate me when she finds out. Oh, this short yet sweet life...;)

That is why each of you needs personal discretionary funds.

I have and have been happy with a 1999 Cannondale R600. I only wish I had gotten a triple, mostly anyway.
