Kind of a cool story here...........Duane from Chester Cycles (the painter) in Chicago is having a drawing for 10 free repaints of varying themes. He only received 113 entries making ones chances of winning fairly good. He closed entries around 6 pm this evening and is randomly picking 10 names/frames in the morning.

Here's a link to the whole 9 yards on Chainlink http://www.thechainlink.org/forum/topics/free-bicycle-repaint-with-a-catch?x=1&id=2211490%3ATopic%3A631953&page=1#comments

That's truly a situation where everybody wins.

Dang, I really wish I would have seen this a few days ago. I have a frame primered and ready to go.

Oh well :(

Yup, that was my reaction as well: " what, now you tell me?".

But seriously, that is a cool thing to do. I would have been happy to add another entry, but... Eh, whatever!

Rockhound, I like your new signature!

was this open nationwide or just for locals?

I'd get "The Hailey" :thumb:

I don't think there were any limits to locale but he only advertised on his FB page and a few days ago he announced it on Chicago's Chainlink site.

He announced the winners this morning and actually picked 11 winners. Unfortunately I was not one of them. I'd have chosen "The Brady" for my Fuji Touring Series IV.

I think it's a cool gesture and possibly a clever marketing idea for Duane.

True..........perhaps it's bad karma for not telling the rest of the cycling world they had less than 24 hrs to get their enty in, but I am seriously considering taking Duane a frame anyway.
