Hey everyone,

Basically tittle states it all, am interested in getting a fixed geared bike. I'm really big into road biking, and ride my mountain bike when the weather isn't the best snowy or muddy out. I would like to get a fixed geared bike to add to my bike collection, but i don't know where to begin. i live in south east michigan any where i could pick one up down around this area would be awesome. Do your bike shops carry fixed geared bikes never noticed before.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Just head on in to your local shops and see if they have anything available that you could test ride. If not, what Bat said.

Also, where at in MI? I'm from Grand Rapids, living in Mount Pleasant for school.

Most bike shops down here don't carry fixed gears but there are a few. Ypsilanti Cycle usually has a couple. TreeFortBikes generally does as well. Sweet Bikes in Canton has 3 really nice track bikes but they're certainly not cheap(Giant Omnium and two Felt TK2), they are an SE dealer and could order you a Draft Lite or a Lager though. Other than those, I can't think of any off the top of my head that carry fixed gears.
