Fifty Plus (50+) - mea culpa

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have a confession to make. I did not ride my bike to Irma's even once in 2012! Sigh.
Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!:bike:

What a crime?
In the early days of 50+ it happened that PIE became the saviour of many of us out on rides. Nothing better when you are flagging on that ride than a stop at a cafe for coffee and a slice of pie. All that sugar to give you energy and the carbo-hydrates to keep the energy coming. We all had our favourite PIE stops and we bragged about it. Then one day RCK and Skipper? posted a pic of their Pie stop and the menu they had. Put the rest of us to shame and it was unofficially decided that Irma's Kitchen was to become the "Virtual" Clubhouse of the BF 50+ group. Haven't been there but I got the "T"shirt.

So I think it very remiss of RCK not to have gone to Irma's in the last year. I don't know how he has survived without a slice of their Pie for one whole year.
And it is Irma's Kitchen International as the pic above shows at the London stage of the Tour of Britain in 2007.
Who is Irma?
And why does she speak Latin?
Vini vedi velocipede.
Don't worry. My wife and I had a piece for you when we were in Wisconsin this summer. It really is all that they say it is. Irma’s and Frank Lloyd Wrights’s Taliesin West were the two “must get to” stops.

Thanks for enlightening me. I can see that there is much I still have to learn.
