Bicycle Mechanics - Swiss stop yellow

I'm in need of new brake pads. I was looking at swiss stop yellows by sram. A bike shop owner told me these are interchangeable between alloy and carbon rims. Obviously, this is not the case with the rubber/cork with carbon/alloy.

I can't find information on this, and was looking for you all for pointers.

Which rims do you use Carbon Or aluminum?

Yes, the LBS owner stated that the yellows are made for carbon but can be used on either. I have my doubts as alloy frequently leaves burrs in the braking material. Using the same brakes with said burrs will severely damage carbon, when cork is left on, which is why I have my doubts with the swiss stop yellows.

My google searches yielded no results in that regard.

well with A set screw, fixing the pad in the holder.. it is simple enough to change friction pads
as you change wheels .

loosen, remove the screws , put the brakes on, roll the bike back and out come the pad inserts.

Exactly. Even if you could use the same pads for carbon and alloy (I think some pads are compatible with both) it wouldn't matter because you'd have to dress the pads every time you put the carbon rims on. It would probably be faster/easier to just get pads with holders and swap when you swap wheels.

Or keep the carbon wheels on your race bike and get a training bike for your alloy wheels! Nothing like N+1
