Im about to get a new bike, it's a limited edition Primal Heat Stroke. It comes with shimano ultegra componentry, a velomax wheel set (MSRP=$400), 3T head set, Kore seat post, Selle Italia Trans Am saddle, and the frame is light weight aluminum with a carbon fiber fork. Im getting it from a local bike shop for only $1171.65. I think it's a really great deal, and the bike fits and rides really well.

Well anyways, what are your thoughts about the bike?
:D

Well I would say it looks and sounds like a fine bike...But what do I know :D I'm assuming you are happy with the way it rides and handles and not buying on rep or sales hype. If you haven't tried several bikes out you owe it to yourself to do so before spending the moola.....................

Where were you able to find one of these to test ride?

I didnt know LBS's carried the bike. When it first came out, only bikes direct had access to the bike. Or, atleast thats what there website said. (http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/primal_heat_stroke.htm)

Looks like a nice bike, love the design, great price for what you get. Do you know anything about the frame? Thats what really counts.

I test rode it at Cycle Spectrum in OrangePark, Fl. They are a limited production bike, so it may be hard to find one to test ride. I would check all of your local bike shops to see if they have one there, or if they can order one in for you.:)

The frame on the bike is ultra-light, double butted, aero-section aluminum, and the frame is warranted for life. :D

Is the geometry on the bike custom to you? The better the fit, the better the ride, and the better you will preform on the bike.

Just my pennies worth....

Just curious. Who makes the frame?
Who assembles the bike? Your bike shop or bikesdirect or ????

The bike is assembled at my local bike shop (usually most bike shops assemble all their bikes). The frame is made in Taiwan, but im not sure exactly what company makes the frame. It might be the same company which makes the Specialized frames or Giant frames? Anyways, the welding on the frame looked really good, and overall, the bike felt really good, with just enough stiffness. The wheel set also make for an awesome ride!:D
