Acidhouse is/was one word.
Goa-trance is kinda spooky.
I did\do visuals for sites\clubs.

I've worked with:

Eddie Ritchards
Doc Martin
David Alvarado
DJ Dan
Donald Glade

Jimmy Cliff once...

Fun stuff.

Acid house was a term used for the factory where platter plastics were melted to make new records. In an acid solution tank.

The band to use the phrase was Psychic T.V.
Locate 'Jack the Tab'.
Old disco rescued from N.Y. by a member of Throbbing Gristle. Turned into house.

Never came from the U.S other than the records, Europe dance, not U.S.
No ****. And I'm OLDER than the d.j's I know...well except Evil Eddie Richards.
He's my age..ageless.

Check out http://www.somafm.com/, nice latenite streaming grooves from S.F.

Groovesalad, beatblender are sweet. Maybe not your thing, but some of the best internet radio playing.

If you want a taste of European trance and dance, some great free stations of Windows Media Player, go into that radio section and search for Trance.

I checked out Groovesland, bit different from what i listen to. I find over here there are lots more of the European Trance, and more clubs ect. I watched a clip of a rave and they had this massive, long room. 100 feet tall and like 400m long, enclosed. Anyway really good beats, some dj called Tiasco, German I think, I can always tell by their haircut.

I pretty much like it all, although I've never been very clear on the nomenclature, since it seems it changes according to whom you ask and what year it is. I didn't get in to "techno",(this was the name for the entire genre,or so it seemed, at the time,) from dance clubs. I was actually driving a truck, and started listening to a lot of music with hard, driving beats, cuz it helps keep you pumped up at night. Back then it was Chemical Bros, Crystal Method, The Prodigy,Aphex Twin, Roni Size, as well as a ton of crossovers with old school rap artists which I loved. Love of this music has stuck with me every since then, and I guess it's past the point, as predicted several times, where it'll be the next big thing. I think it'll always be a red-headed stepchild, which makes it no less endearing!

I usually just put di.fm on when on the computer. Good songs to listen to, not too hard but good beats.

Also has anyone heard of Ministary Of Sound?? It's a European/Australian thing but dont know how big it is around the world. All the Trance cd's, dance and techno are usually by them.

What kind of music is the C64? I checkout the website, but havn't listened to it yet.

On another note I am near completion of a website with the 'Best Beats of NRG'. If you havn't already hear of the Hard NRG meaning hard energy then this is a good chance to hear some beats that are quite popular ove here. About 1min of each beat, then you can vote for your favourites.
Stay tuned, i'll post up a link when its done :D

I would probably say 'good stuff' but I cant get it to play :( . I have heard underground dance before, they have heaps of it in clubs. I would have thought that dance would have been more popular than Trance but obviously not. Most people I know who are only into rock and hip - hop seem to think that techno=trance/dance/acid/garage, it just seems like a whole lot of electronic sounds to them, but there's actually heaps more to it.

I just listened to some dance/techno CD that my friend borrowed to me. The Dj is DIGWeed and he's from Los Angeles. I've never heard anything like it before, its like really soft techno, but has the dance genre to it. anyone else listened to him?

Yep, played local several times, was married here at a party?

Also look up Dj Sasha. >friends who play together.

Most anything by MoonTribe is good.

Trip Hop or Hip Trop? I like 'em both.
