Has anybody found romance(the human kind) while on a tour?

Took a couple days off to climb at Devil's Tower during a tour, picked up a few random climbing partners. Hit it off with one of them. Now we are married.

Went on a tour with two guys I had been on a single camping trip with. Now, we're best friends.

Thanks for the laugh. BTW...I once dated a gorgeous young woman from Partille. She was an au pair in the states. After she returned home I wrote her so often that her full address is still imprinted on my brain. I went to visit her during Christmas/New Years '88-'89 and tramped around Gothenburg. Alas, the distance was to far and she would not leave hr homeland. She's married now with two kids. We still keep in touch through Facebook. Don't have her location in Sweden at my fingertips.

Anyway, I had one-nighters on both a supported and un-supported tour. One involved plenty of beer. Niether involved any romance.

No human kind romance, but it was dark, so....

Not personally, but I met a couple on my 2008 Pacific Coast tour who did. We've stayed in contact and my girlfriend and I just had a nice visit with them in September. Great folks, great story (http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/page/?o=1&page_id=86018&v=5Z).

Edit: Not mentioned in the link above are the details. In 2004 Mike had just set out on a west-east tour across Canada when he came across some other riders who struck up a conversation with him. When they found out he was single they told him he should speed up a bit because there was a good looking single babe (Jenna) up ahead somewhere. Not sure if it was that day or not, but eventually he came upon her while she was fixing a flat. They struck up a conversation and decided to ride together for awhile. "Awhile" turned into ten weeks across Canada, then living together in Boston, engagement, marriage, and a bike tour honeymoon from Vancouver, B.C. to the southern tip of South America. They now have a baby boy.

The heart grows faint with some warm and other raunchy memories of trips gone by.
Not yet on a bicycle tour. Always that to look forward to...

Nope, I just bring romance with me. I have toured with my wife for the last 25 years:).

Like Doug64, I've been bringing my romance with me for almost thirty years.

We did stay with a couple north of Seattle one night who had met on a tour. Well, Jean was riding from B.C. to Mexico when she met Hugh in San Diego. He was building his house, she helped him finish and then they began "keeping house". After they sold the place in San Diego, they moved north, had a couple of kids and lived happily ever after.

I was traveling with my GF and we met another couple. We rode together for a few days and drank whiskey at nights. Ended up we swapped partners a few times.

Like Doug64, it's just my wife and me. We did meet a young couple honeymooning on the Pacific Coast route. Nice young couple, but they rode hard one day to skip a campground. There were two older men who woke around 6:00AM and made too much noise for the young couple.

I got a kiss once in 600 miles. Did better being in one place.

Isn't anyone going to accuse me of making this up?

Wait, we can make stuff up? I've been doing it wrong....

I was a freshman at a mid-sized, midwestern college. I had always read the stories in "Forum" and always thought they were made up--until the most incredible thing happened to me. One Saturday afternoon, during a tour around Lake Ontario, I was doing laundry in a KOA campground when in walked the sexiest woman I had ever laid eyes on....Soft, pouty lips accentuated by raven black hair.....

I don't believe that for a minute. I'm guessing it was Tequilla.
