Hello!

My mom just bought a bottle of simple green for cleaning the kitchen. She wants to clean the stovetop fans and she's wondering if the simple green can be used on the plastic panels on the stovetop fan control area. What does simple green mean by plastic instrument panels, anyway?

None here. I'd imagine they're talking about the instrument panels on cars & trucks.

When I worked at Sears, we cleaned up paint spills with Simple Green. That meant on the paint mixer (plastic buttons) and on the floor (linoleum). We also cleaned shipping grease off the tools with cast iron parts with it and inevitably got some on the plastic parts as well. Never had any problems.

If she's really worried, she should try it on an inconspicuous spot first and check it after a day. The only concern I know of is Simple Green tends to leave a slight sticky residue, but Windex will take the residue off and Windex is safe on just about anything.
