Maybe you're too embarrassed to admit it. Maybe you find yourself humming Neil Diamond songs during the day. Maybe you just can't get enough Emerson Lake and Palmer. Disco Inferno? You bet! Does anybody take guity pleasure in being a fan of what's generally considered bad music? Do you have a vote for the worst song of all time? Let's hear it...................or not.

At least I listen with ear buds on, so I won't inflict others:
Ace of Base
all of the other stuff is so old, but that what you get from living through the 60's and 70's: ELP, ELO, Genesis before Peter Gabriel left, Frank Zappa, the Monkees, Todd Rundgren, Steppenwolf, Steely Dan....
I probably just told you more than you wanted to know...

Yes, Rush, the Monkees, Neil Diamond, ELO, Pearl Jam, Generation X, Sammy Davi Jr., Dred Zeppelin, Hall & Oates, Elvis, REM(everything up til "Green") U2(everything up til "Pop") And thats just the short list!

Rockapella (actually, they're really good, but it's just plain embarassing to listen to all-male a cappela group that's best known for the "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" theme song)
Alan Thicke
David Hasselhoff
Yes, Rush, [...] Neil Diamond, ELO, Pearl Jam
Since when have those been "bad music"?

Since the general public decided not to touch it with a ten foot pole. I may have misunderstood the point of this thread, but I thought we were listing what we thought was good music that most people think is crap.

I am a huge fan of the early Genesis! Trespass being one of my faves... Prog Rock in general is probably my biggest guilty pleasure... I love it all (especially King Crimson and Can)
(and that was my point - good music that most people think sucks - or music that sucks that you like anyway)
-- Steely Dan was also incredible, up to a point... I consider Aja to be their last good album.

Old Genesis is completely awesome, and even a lot of the early Phil Collins stuff. I think a lot of these bands aren't just unpopular cuz they're not on MTV, but because their fans are complete WEIRDOS. Like all the Dungeonmasters that listen to Yes and Rush, or the "guitar store *******s" who listen to Satriani, Malmsteen and Zappa.

I don't play the guitar or work at a guitar store, but I love Malmsteen (and Satriani and Zappa, and Jeff Beck and Steve Vai, for that matter).

I really like the old Canturbury music such as Gong, Soft Machine, Caravan, Matching Mole, Hatfield and the North, National Health, etc.... Such great music, so intelligent and creative. I'm actually glad that they aren't as well liked as they should be.

I'm sorry. I'll just have to take into account that everything I say will offend you.
Oh yeah, I forgot about Duran Duran! One of my favorite bands EVER, not very well remembered, though.

AAAAAHHHH I have vertigo by U2, but i keep humming it and singing it.
Yes. Pre Fragile.
in fact I think their first album (with Harold Land) is the best they've done.
I have a serious affinity for Gordon Lightfoot left over from
my pre hippie, folkie days.

I seriously LOVE Tom Jones. I would kill to see him in concert.
I am planning a big Barry Manilow fan. I'm making plans to get some tickets to his show when I'm in Vegas for the next Interbike this fall. I can't wait!

I truely enjoy those cute oldies likes of "I want to be Bobby's girl" "Itsy bitsy yellow polka dot bikini" "Big girls don't cry" etc.
These are not bad songs but I don't want to be caught listening, even worse singing along, to them. That makes it more enjoyable.
AHHH.. I love the 80's mostly all the new wave stuff. The Cure, Depeche Mode, Erasure (don't tell), Duran Duran. You know that stuff that comes on the radio and people are like what is that.

It's possible for music that most people haven't heard of to be horrible enough that you feel guilty for liking it. I mean, there's a reason no one has heard of it...

For the Rap fans out there, Ghetto Boys are both enjoyable AND horrible. Everytime I hear "Damn It feels Good To Be A Gangster" I always wonder how many 40 oz have been poured out to this song. They aren't really all that good at rapping, their beats are crappy, and there's a midget with an eyepatch in the group. They also did a theme song for Chucky in one of the "Childs Play" movies.
Oh, I looked up Boney M. I'll have to find some of their music, hopefully it's as spectacular as they look!

"Glycerine" by Bush

"Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order
"Why Don't You Get A Job?" by The Offspring
"Remind Me" by Royksopp (yes, the Geico caveman tv ad)

Jeez.
I'm an unabashed 80's hair metal fan. I grew up with Ratt, Twisted Sister, Poison, Warrant. Of course, I jam out to Poison on the earbuds when my wife isn't pestering me about sticking them on iTunes, and yes, I watched Rock of Love.
Poison is the reason rapstars have to make songs like "Party Like a Rockstar".
