Visited my LBS, but unfortuantely the guy that was helping me was sleepy or on drugs or something cause he didn't feel like giving me much info.

Anyways, I'd like to know all about the proper fit on the road bike.

I know about the leg extension, but I'm sure there is more to it.

Here is a helpful link:

www.hubbub.com/sizing_soapbox.htm

Your back should be straight. With pedals in the 3 and 9 position, you should be able to drop a plumb line from your knee down through the pedal axle. Measure your inseam. Measure shoulder bone to shoulder bone. But there is soooo much more to it. What type of riding will you be doing, racing or loaded or touring? How much do you weigh? How flexible are you? Do you prefer stability or livliness in your steed?

Get on a size cycle - it will give you good starting points for the position of your stem and the length and angle of the top tube.....the list goes on.

Hope this helps a bit.
