i'm getting my pinarello track frame refinished.
it's currently painted a flat, medium blue with chrome stays.
the chrome is staying, first off.
i was thinking at first of sticking with the blue, but using a slightly lighter and more metallic blue.
then i saw a white frame with black lines around the lugs and chrome on the back that looked amazing and was sure i wanted that.
then i thought it would be nicer to make it a creme white instead of white white.
then somehow i got back to blue in the last two days.
how does one make up their mind about this?

or just go with light blue. checkout dolface's ride. that bike wants to fight me.
take a picture of your bike, and photoshop each paint job onto it, or find pictures of bikes with those paint jobs. print them out, arrange them all next to each other. put them on your desk at work or wherever you are at the most, leave them there for a few days. figure out which one you spent the most time staring at, and which you are sick of.

my bike will take you on any day of the week, beat you down, and come back for a free face-punch with extra pie.

I am old. I am fiery. But I know when I am beat. (and that your bike is a real looker)

well i'm old and no longer so fiery, so who knows what would happen.
glad you like my bike, it makes me happy.

I really like "prototype" orange - basically Eddy Merckx orange in satin or matt - no gloss for tough bikes!
Black and Chrome .. Baby.. The best. Simple and awsome to see!

yeah... options options options.
this is why i think i'll stick with blue. it's just easier to somehow limit my options.
now... which shade of blue....

Pick a FAST color :)
Go with an Italian theme (tricolore) to honor the bike's heritage.
Mostly white with red accents up front and green accents in the back.
It would be unique, for sure.
How did you know my Moser now has ferrari red and chrome frame, white turbo saddle, white brake cables, white fork and the green tape is coming soon.

Light blue for sure. And good idea to oust the white. White's too uniform. If you get to pick something awesome. By the way I just found out that yellow is faster than blue. Yellow is even faster than red.

Yes yellow is faster than red, BUT! If you are a city slicker you may not know this, but yellow attracts bees, red does not. Do not know why. Painted a mobike yellow once. It was always surrounded by wasps. Repainted it red, no problems. Any entemologigists out there?

Good job! I generally have problems with all "tropical" colors attracting bees. They're looking for the flower buried among my bike or shirt.
Maybe the yellow you selected happened to be especially juicy in the UV spectrum making your motorcycle look like THE BIGGEST DAMN FLOWER EVER!

You can't go wrong with cream. Classic, saucy even...

I just painted my bike powder blue a few weeks ago during a blizzard. It was a good choice, especially when combined with the white bar tape and the forthcoming white saddle.
