In Dallas for the first time and I asked the taxi driver to take me there. Being 3, I was too young back then to comprehend the significance, but over time, have come to truly understand the man and his legacy.

The area looked exactly as I'd seen in the documentaries - the building and the grassy knoll in particular. I stood where I estimated Mr. Zapruder did and the emotion was quite intense.

It was a somber moment, but one well worth taking.

Then, I thought of Merton - for he lives here right?

Took a second to realize what you were saying there. I thought you meant that you were 3 when you asked the cab driver to take you there. Then, you started talking about the cabbie's legacy and I understood even less. Then my brain kicked in.

I'm about 25 miles from downtown and I still get weirded out everytime
I drive down there.
The first time I saw it I was down here on business and we were going
to the west end (good bars), when we came out from the underpass
My jaw dropped when I realized where we were.

:roflmao:

I intentionally wrote it that way and I love how you saw it. In the end - at least you got it.

If you are interested in the assassination, an interesting website is www.jfkmurdersolved.com
It has information about and from an alleged confessor to the murder, James Files, plus a forum where theories are debated and new information is posted.

Wrong direction. I live on Main Street, across the street from Neiman Marcus. I work at Neiman Marcus, so I'm still about a mile away.

Dallas School Book Depository - the building where Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK in 1963.

Came in Thursday afternoon and left Friday afternoon. I had a meeting at the Tower Club downtown. Nice visit.
