I think it is a decent frame. but finding tires for the front can be a problem. As a fixed gear, it can work.

it looks like a 24'' wheel some are smaller than 650cc.

650cc looks more like this Yamamguchi bike. IMHO

I live with a 24" front wheel, see it everyday. Or used to until it got stolen. The front looked a little bit bigger on that ebay pic though you may be right. Let's hope its not 24". That can be a pain. And lets certainly hope its not a 24" tub.

I have a nishiki funny bike that I fixed up. It was way small for me so I threw on a long stem and monkey bars. great bike for bar hoppin and skiddin. The 24'' tire is easy to find, Irc triathalon. Just find LBS that orders from Quality.

It's not necessarily the tire that's tough to find (you only need one or two to last a really long time), it's often decents rims/tubs/tubes readily available.

You won't have that problem much, though, given that it comes with a front wheel.

I've got the same one - definitely fun to ride once you get used to it..

I got the black Sun ME-14A from Bikeworks (http://bikecult.com/works/index.html). It's a good solid little wheel. Panaracer tire rolls ok, not crazy about the tan sidewall.

I recently got my front wheel stolen, and the pain of getting a new wheel has made me switch to 650c.

I built up a Velocity Deep V to a low-flange hub lying around my LBS. Threw on a carbon fork ($20. I'll probably swap it for something snazzier).

I still have NO pedal overlap (I'm about 4 inches away), and my new seat tube angle is 76.85 degrees, head tube is now about 72, and the trail is about 53mm. I'm thinking with a nice fork with less rake, I can get that number lower and have the twitchy handling I had before. Position is a little less aggressive (for longer rides), but still maintains all of the characteristics I liked about the 24" (I need to go on more rides to determine if I need a fork with less rake).

Also, I get to rock some smokin' looking tires. It even caused me to change the color scheme on my bike. Pictures soon to come!

Bensbike carries 24" tubulars. They don't list them on the internet, you gotta ask for them.

alright, i talked to the previous owner, the wheel is definantly 24", any suggestions on a stem to use with this bike? it can't be to long, since the bike is already a little bigger than i am used to. also is there a certain kind of seat i should be using, or will the seat i am using now(a skinny selle racing seat) work fine? thanks!
edit: one more thing, are drop bars out of the question on this bike?

Well, you can use any old stem you want, but depending on how it feels with a regular drop road stem, you might want to try something with a rise. I do okay without one, but that's just me.

Any seat you have is fine. You might be tempted to tilt the nose down because it feels more comfortable at first, but realize that if you do that (to compensate for other things, like the saddle being too high, or your bars not being high enough), your hands are going to hurt on longer rides from supporting all of your weight.

Also, I would say drop bars are out of the question, unless you like things SERIOUSLY aero. Bikkhu rocks a pursuit bike with drop bars, but that's with a Look Ergostem, and 650c front.
