Hi to all.
My wife and I are new to biking and after going to 8 different bike shops and test riding everything we could get on we bought 2 new bikes. Mine is a Raleigh m-60 and my wife bought a m-400. We are very happy with both bikes. The reason we went with Raleigh was because the owner of the shop was the nicest guy in the world. The other places didnt care what you bought just as long as you bought something. I do have a question. Any body live in my neck of the woods? And what would you recommend as to get into this sport as far as geting better? I find myself waiting at every turn for my wife to catch up. lol

I go way ahead and then circle back, passing my wife in the opposite direction, then catching up and passing her again. She doesn't mind in the least, and I get more and faster exercise.

To get better, just ride as much as you can, pushing yourself a little more each time. With your wife, set up interesting rides where you go to a neat place for lunch along the way or something similar, or carry a special snack with you or whatever. Something to add a social dimension to the ride - i.e., stopping at Starbucks, etc. At least that is what works for me
