Cut a few inches off the ends and ver. 2 & 3 look alright. How wide are they anyway?

they're right around 53 cm center to center. i don't know as if i could ever rock these things- i just wanted to see what they'd look like. drops are a bit more my style. check this fellow's setup (picture compliments of old skool track (http://www.oldskooltrack.com))...

is there anything similar thats....much narrower? i like the look, but no way could i handle being 53 cm wide on the street.
