Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - My new canvas...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Here she is! The UPS man brought her today.
A 1999 GT Backwoods frame. Picked it up off ebay for $20.50
"100% American Made of 7000 grade Aluminium, Custom Butted" the sticker says.
The downtube diameter is massive and I love the Triple Triangle. It'll slowly turn in to a singlespeed after my "other" bike is finished.

Nice! Does the non-drive side also have a replaceable dropout? You could get some horizontal or track ends milled for ya.

$20? Sh-ite, that's a good deal.
I'm hoping for 26" slicks with a Pace carbon fork and some road drops, a la:

That looks like a 700c-wheeled bike with a tiny compact frame.
