Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I saw these on another forum, teardrop trailers. A place to sleep, storage and a little kitchen out back. Small enough to be towed be even a small car and fairly cheap. There are even plans to build your own. They were first popular in the thirties, when you had to pull a trailer with 30hp. Search teardrop trailers. I can remember when they were common. Sleep inside, cook outside, sometimes with a tent which enclosed the cooking area. The back would open up like the trunk of a car.

ooh i saw one at a car show once, called the bee hive. It was smaller than a pickup truck yet had a bed and all. even a tiny little microwave the size of a toaster.

I came across a couple camping in one a few years ago in Santee, SC. They towed it with a Buick Century and said they were touring cross country with it.
