You know, on another note....I am fairly new to the Forum...and there's alot of Lance stuff floating around constantly....but tell me, what was the Bike Forum like last July during & just after the Tour ? Crazy I'll bet :D

Putnam huh ? That's in the "Quiet Corner" of CT isn't it ? My parents used to have a summer cottage on Witch's Wood Lake when I was growing up. I have lots of great memories from my times there. Last time I drove through there many of the seasonal cottages had been converted to year round and there was an air of "yuppiness" to the immediate lake area :(
Are you doing any organized century rides this year ??

Your wife rides with you ???
I'm envious.
My wife does Tai Bo and runs on the treadmill and is in great shape but she's not really geared towards the outdoors. I bought her a moutain bike w/slicks a few years ago. We rode together a few times but it never really hooked her. Riding with her made me realize how many little bike handling skills one develops, and takes for granted over time.
I did an MS Tour a few years ago, ok many years ago...but it started & finished in Windsor Locks when I did it. It was advertised as very flat and was, it was a 100 miles and I was able to finish but one of my knees was singing at the end ;)
There are some good ones in Mass. that I may try later this year. I'll send you a list when I get the chance later.
