Hiya. I've got a bike on my hands I need to sell and I have no idea what to ask for it. I got it a couple years ago after my old bike got stolen. It's a Schwinn 88 Rocket Stage 2, apparently. Yet everywhere I look these bikes have Sid forks and V Brakes. The specs on mine are as follows.

Avid Disc Brakes
Judy XC Forks
Fox VanillaR rear shock
Alex Rims
BS 6102 Aluminum 17" frame
Shimano Clip Pedals

On my receipt it said this bike was originally 2450$ canadian. but because of my insurance from the old bike that was stolen, I got it for 1580$ What could I sell this bike for now? Canadian prices once again remember. And where should I sell it?
Thanks a lot

btw its barely been used. A few minor scratches in all the expect places. The frame is a flat graphite colow with orange forks, orange stripes and whiteish greyish writing.

nsmb.com and pinkbike.com are both canadian places to sell used bikes. Also ebay.ca

As for worth. No idea, I doubt it would be worth much as it is a number of years old, outdated etc...

maybe $800. Just my guess.

I was thinking along the lines of 800$ as well. I saw a 2000 Stage 2 with Sid Forks and VBrakes go for 700$ used on ebay the other day.

Try 900$ and if no-one buys then go for 800$.

Considering you have a downgraded fork but an upgraded braking system, I think you will get around 600-800 CDN if you are lucky. Might take a while to sell. Why not keep it and ride it. Its the last of the good ole' schwinns.
