Cyclocross - Anyone in the Chicagoland area with a 54cm Surly Crosscheck I can briefly "try on"

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was curious to know if I would be able to try your 54cm Surly Crosscheck on only for a brief moment. I can give you $5 for your time. I want to build up a Crosscheck this spring and I'm not sure about the sizing and don't want to spend money on a frame that doesn't fit quite right. Unfortunately you can't test ride a built up frame of this type in store.

I have a Cross-Check that I had built up at the local Performance shop a few years ago. I don't know what size the frame is but you can try it out if you like. I am in Aurora.

If somehow you can figure out the size of the frame I'd be grateful for a test ride if it's 54cm.

Is there supposed to be a stamping somewhere on the frame that indicates size?
As far as a review. I'm not a bike expert by any means.
"I like to ride my bike" is kind of like Sling Blade's "I like them French fried potatoes".
