Just wanted to get some feedback on this issue. I have an MTB and it takes about 1 hour to do my 11.1 mile route. I have a Road bike and if I extend the route , I can cover 13.5 miles in one hour. The overall effort seems to be about the same.
My goal is to try to exercise for 1 hour each day at least 6 days a week. Do you think it really matters which of the 2 bikes I use? The slower bike is nice in the winter since it has slicks, fenders, a lot of reflectors, lights, etc. The road bike is better forthe dry days.
I also have a recumbent but have not found the distance yet for the one hour time limit. I live in a very hilly area so this is a major part of my rides.
Thanks for the input.
