my last post sounds like I want somebody to plan my tour! Not the case...just looking for problem areas more than anything. I,m probably going with the adventure cycling route to Tempe, Arizona and maybe my own route from there. I have their first map on order. One possible alternate route was CA 78 through the Vallecito Mtns (anza-borrego desert state park) anyone familiar with that terrain? A San Diego start to CA 67 to CA 78 to Brawley to hy 111 and drop down to CA 98 then get on Interstate 8...one problem I had heard about was bikes not being allowed on part of I 8 in AR.....I,m checking the transportation regs but if somebody has heard any info please pass it along.........Thanks, also any traffic info about shoulders and such es mucho appreciated!
