I'd say I was a good deal unluckier than you. No cards or greetings, but that's just par for the course. I've had two illnesses in the past three years -- both have come at this time of year. At least I've had one or two PM's from this forum during the course of both which have included a 'get well' message. I appreciate that.

Otherwise I hate Valentine's day -- but at least it's not as bad as Christmas.

This lil fella got a new home for Valentines Day. A stray that came from the pet shop, he was found all emaciated and seriously wounded 3 weeks ago. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time to bring him home.

'Wasted'? I'm sure the recipients didn't feel it was wasted.

Did these guys expect something in return? Roses aren't an automatic leg-opener in and of themselves you know. If that's what they wanted, there's more efficient ways that $70 could be spent.

Dude, my girlfriend has somehow preserved every set of roses I have sent her. Many people, me included, find it to be a worthless "holiday", but many others find meaning in it. It is these people that need to be remembered and considered for today! That being said, a card and some Valentine M&M's did the trick and put me on her good side.
