Winter Cycling - Great Winter Ride (pix included!)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I had a fantastic ride on Saturday. The snow was simply perfect for riding. Here are some pix!

Looks like a blast. Are those 29ers on the Surly?

Yup! All three of us were on single speeds, but he was the only one on 29s. The Surly rider is also running a rigid fork. Of course, you can see what his leg/knee looked like after the ride in the last pic. :)
Here's a better shot of me on my SISS. My bike looks tiny compared to the Surly!

Nice pics! Man, looks like you have some cool riding around there-I like that rock alley thing. I have to get my MTB out one of these days.

do you guys not get snow very often down there? Just wondering why I'm seeing so many green leaves in some of the pics.
Looks like slippery fun

We get plenty of snow - believe me. However, there are many evergreens in the area that we rode, and there was only about 2-5 inches of snow on the ground. It really made for an amazingly beautiful ride. The most difficult part was stopping to snap the pix! :)
