If you have the money get the Sidis. I like that their road shoes and MTB shoes of similar model use the same last so you can just get the same size and know you will have the same fit. Their shoes fit great, like a slipper or something. Just super comfortable.
I like my lakes: Lake MX100. They were very inexpensive @ my lbs.

I'd also look into Shamino shoes. They seems to fit my feet perfectly. I picked up a pair for $185 @ my LBS and they are about as stiff as non-carbon shoes get.

Definitely look into the Sidi's. They make the best shoes by far.

I like them so far. Fits like a glove and somewhat comfortable to walk in. I dont think the soles are going to cause me any problems on the trails either :D
G/L with your shoe purchase....I'd buy it from a store because everybody's feet are soo different.

You're comparing Lake (apples) to SIDI's (oranges)?
This one is almost embarrasing to answer.... SIDI
PS> I used to buy SIDI's from Italy & sell them for $90 USD more on eBAY. Believe me, or not....

I would try them both on if possible and choose the ones that fit properly.
