That would be yesterday’s high temp here in Baltimore, Maryland. So what to do with a Spring-like day in mid-February???
Fake out from work early and ride the tandem… (like you didn’t know….).
So I called my girl and she met me at my place at 4 P.M. sharp and off we went. Traffic on the way out and in was a bit of a biznitch…… But out in the country, everything was wonderful! The sheep were wooly and the mules were too.
I think I got a little overly rambunctious with fingerless gloves as my hands got cold on the way home with the sun going down….but my girlfriend took pity on me and warmed my hands (one at a time….!!)… one of the great benefits of having a buddy attached to your bike!
I don’t know if it was the warm weather, or my girlfriend’s training but we were able to surmount a long climb one gear higher than last year…..some minor kvetching from the back seat…but that’s normal on every climb…
I hope others also had a chance to enjoy the day’s respite from winter.
