I have built up my Cross Check and really like I asked a while ago about bottom brackets and wanted t ask another question. I measured the distance between my crank arms and chainstays and it is about 2-3mm on both sides. I have ridden the bike with no problems but am wondering if I should do something to get a bit more space? They don't hit but it does make me a litttle nerous.

P.S. Ultegra 6500 Double with 109.5 BB

Thanks
Matt

I wouldn't worry about it, my bikes crank arms are that close to the chainstays also, and they havn't caused a problem whatsoever. Just make sure that they're installed correctly, and are tight so they don't get loose and wiggly around because they might hit the chainstays then. But you might want to check with some others here too.

MattWith that crank, your only options are a xtr bb with a 112 or 116 spindle or a 118 ultegra for a triple.

As long as nothing rubs against the frame, narrower is better.
