Can anyone help me adjust my Z2 X Fly? I know where the preload and rebound adjustments are, but can anyone share theories on best set up?
The manual says it should be around 15psi, but at that psi it is super weak. I have to run it around 55psi in each barrel. I weigh around 175lbs BTW.

At 175 lb, the manual says 27-37 psi for 155-180lbs. My theory is, if the fork is blowing through the travel to quickly, and sags excessively at the recommended psi, then the lower air seals are leaking between the chambers and out. It needs serviced.
If the fork, at the recommended psi has the right sag, in this model for you should be 8-16mm, but still goes through the travel faster than you want; Two things, first check your oil level in the damper side, it should be at 75cc, which can only be checked by emptying the fluid and squirting in a measured 75cc from a syringe. The stock viscosity is the 7.5 w, but you could go to 10 w to slow the compression a bit.
Second, the lower air chamber my be blowing air into the upper stanchion slightly, this causes a kind of "negative air spring" effect. Slowly loosen the fork leg cap and see if any air releases, then tighten it back up and adjust the fork air spring to the right psi for your weight, about 32 psi.
The Z2 X Fly relies more on dampening control versus compression control, so, although the heavier viscosity oil will help, if you subject the fork to big hits, it will still bottom out, or at least really ramp up the compression until it feels like it's bottoming.

Sounds similar to my 01 Z-4. My bf is about the same wieght and he used to use 15w oil and halfway shut damping. Worked pretty well. Oil level is critical. I usually use the aircraft method to check it(which use identical setups.
deflate and remove the top caps. Then slowly lower it so that it is bottomed out. Once bottomed, the oil should be pretty much to the rim. Once that is established, pull it back up slowly and put the caps back on. Pressurize and check performance. If it still bottoms distinctly, add a minute bit more. The pressures he used to run were about 30 a leg, 35 for freeride. (I run a good bit less now that I have it.)
