Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello there! :D I am seeking some knowledge that I am sure some of you possess! I am going to buy a BMX bike, although due to my weight (I weigh 273lbs), I need advice on a particularly sturdy model. Does anybody have any good recommendations?

You would probably want to go with a custom built up bike which will cost you more, but will be far more durable. Try something like a Standard STA. The bikes from a few years back may be had on eBay for a decent price and while they weigh a few pounds more, they also are (in my opinion) are much more durable than the overly weight concious crap out today.
Nice avatar. Would that be a Japanese Maple?
