David Sedaris, funniest s**t I've ever read. In order from best, Barrel Fever, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Naked, Dress Your Friends

Chuck Palahniuk, author of Fight Club. All his books are awesome in no particular order.

Thanks. Since the last post was six months ago, I thought somebody might have read something since then. Silly me.

Hah! A fellow Charlottesvillain. Granted, I'm technically more of a greater Charlottesvillain, off in the NE part of Alb. Co.

Most of my reading these days comes in the form of recorded books. Pop a tape in the walkman while I'm working in the yard or on the bike or whatever. Get a good page, er, tape-turner and I'll look for some menial task just for the opportunity to listen. It's kind of cool "reading" all the books that I was supposed to have read as a youth. I think Huckleberry Finn may be my all-time favorite.

But books.... right now I'm finishing up the Dilbert Principal... being a cubical dweller, Scott Adams/Dilbert just always cracks me up. I went by the library today and picked up a copy of 23 Days in July, about LA's 6th TdF. Seemed kind of appropriate since he just announced he was going for 7 this year. I've also been getting caught up on my Hillerman mysteries. Just finished The Sinister Pig, and have borrowed Skeleton Man from a friend... probably will read that after 23 Days.

I'm currently reading Plot Against America by Phillip Roth. Excellent writer, scary topic.

I also really like David Sedaris. And Lynda Barry, Cruddy is a must read (caution it's wierd)
