Road Cycling - It is done...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Fortunately, it is a 'cross bike, so you can sill be known as Dirtgrinder. Would've been tricky if you'd gone full-roadie there. :D
Now you have to get the matching jersey...

Thanks all!
Aerobat, yes it is exactly the same as the pic. 2002 Axis.
Velocipedio; I've never had a jersey before, but that one sure looks cool. I'll have to get a little better before I'm jersey-worthy.:D
That is one GREAT looking bike...how much did it cost you? I'm looking for a new bike also (I'm sure I can't afford what you got), but what else did you get with it? Do you ask your LBS for freebies? :o

MSRP was 1300, getting it for 1200. Called several shops to compare prices and nobody would budge on the 1300 elsewhere. One shop even wanted 1350. Haven't asked for any freebies though. Might hint around at it when it comes in. I would like another computer with cadence.
Don't know if you know it or not but it's actually a Cyclocross bike. But it will double as a road bike for me also.
I am not familiar with cyclo-cross bikes. Other than the tyres what is the difference to a road bike? I am interested to know.
BTW. That's a really nice bike.
CHEERS.

Congrats! That bike has been making me drool ever since you first posted it. And I've looked around and can't really find anything bad about that wheelset; apparently they're stronger than they look.
I think you're buying a bike that can do almost anything. It's hard to imagine not being happy with it.
Great going!

Well, we have Earthlink, but it uses the phone line and I don't know the password either. So I can only get on once in awhile.
