yeasterday I had a bunch of running around to do.we had to go to the LBS to get some parts and to return a show that I borrowed.I showed her the bike that I wanted.ok no problem.while we were wandering around we happened upon a burley bike trailer.she took one look at it and started inquiring if our son would ride in it.how would he like it etc.since he is almost 3 now he has just about outgrown the seat that he has been riding in.well the guy that was there answered a few of her questions and said well it is brand new.never has turned a wheel behind a bike but it did get rained on once so it looked kind of bad.( it was dusty)so he said normally it sells for $200. but with it looking like it does I will do 150.She jumped all over that, there was no way to turn her then.well now I have a $150. trailer to tow with a $50. bike.{by the way I have named the bike THE BEAST.**That has gotten a good laugh both at home and at the LBS.
Anyway I showed her the only recumbent they had.I asked if she wanted to take it for a ride.sure.wow my luck was still holding. got it outside got on and tried it a bit in the parking lot.put her on it well that did not work well.
but I am still looking at getting a new bike.but no recumbent for me or her.we both were very unsteady on it.she definatly did not like it.we did look at a new Ralaigh roady though.I showed her how lite it was.
Well as soon as we got home she had me hook up the new trailer to give it a try.
Wow,I advise anyone who has kids that can't ride on there own to get one.what a difference it makes.the baby just loves it.can haul blankets and cups and toys etc.as long as we were moving it was great,we just couldn't stop cause then he wanted out.it pulled so easy.ALMOST like nothing was there.
I did not quite talk her into a new bike for me yet but I think I am getting closer.got it down to either a Giant Boulder or a Ralaigh M20.
She at least looked at a new bike for herself but that was all.maybe the beast will just not adjust to the new trailer well and have some sort of malfuntion and make me buy a new bike.hehe
thats it sorry about it being so long,I just had to tell.
