General Cycling Discussion - Pro Cyclist Dooced

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Who is Major League Baseball angry at? Sosa? Bonds? Giambi? Nope. They are angry at Jose Canseco. It is very important for professional sports to squeeze every advantage to be had out of "juicing up" their athletes, and then pretending to "crack down" on drugs...a guy who "blows the whistle" is the most hated guy in sports.
Don't ask. Don't tell.

Yeah, they're easy to spot, too. Just look at the back of the peloton.

They are all absolutely on something... Not necessarily illegal or prohibited but they all use any advantage they can squeeze with out getting into trouble. Some live at altitude, some take drugs, some use blood, some use altitude tents, some train at insane schedules. Their world is too competitive to believe any one of them is there on raw talent.
As for the firing… You can be right and at odds with self-preservation at the same time. He should be admired by us for his revelations but should be fired for violating his contract. If we, the fans, cry injustice loud enough someone will hire him for his talent without regard for his (apparently) popular but controversial blogs.

lance, tyler, everyone. they may not be on stuff that is currently on the banned lists, but they are on something. there's a reason the super human efforts are being made out there on the courses. Because they have made themselves into super-humans. the promoters who think up these unbearably tough stages and day races are to blame.
