Hi..I've been posting here for a month or so but figured I should make a formal introduction.
I live in Wisconsin, born in NYC and lived most my life in various areas of the Northeast - CT, RI, MA, PA.
I have only tinkered with biking over the years. Weekend rides. Had a mountain bike and road bike, but sold them both 3 years ago and bought a hybred Silk Path Cannondale.
June 2nd, I ride my very first century for fund raising for the Leukemia Society in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. There aren't hills here in Wisconsin, so I'm a bit worried about the mountains I'll have to ride up in Nevada. I like to challenge myself every so many years... next challenge a mini triathalon?!?! well..maybe that's pushing it.
I work as a marketing manager for a paper company and get to travel a bit around the country. And find that airports are great places to people watch.
This forum is great fun. It's amazing to be in contact with people from all over the globe! Very refreshing!

Well Sarah, since you're officially making an intro, I'll oblige and officially welcome you to the forums.

Good luck on that century, stay hydrated and start to eat something after the first 1-1/2" to keep from "bonking".

what part of Wisconsin are you in. Where my gramma lived it was nothing but hills.

I live in the Fox Valley--Appleton area - near Lake Winnebago about a 1/2 hour south of Green Bay.
If I drive for a bit, there are hills, but nothing like parts of the Northeast where I grew up.
