what would cause my rear Avid disc to warp? does this happen often? i don't remember crashing(on that side!). i don't remember hitting it on any thing.
i backed off the adjusters just to see if they were too tight, and now i have no back a brake, but the wheel still stops/gets stuck at the warped part.
i hope this is covered under the warranty, and does't take too long to fix. i'm already worried i'm not going to be able to go riding while it's being fixed! :(
if there seems to be too much warrany/paperwork/BS involved i might just go out and buy a new disc and slap it on there myself. if i can find one.
just out here venting, i'm sorry. :D

If the bike is still in warranty it shouldn't take that long. I just trashed my rear hub. I took it to a Giant dealer and he went straight to his office and called Giant. They shipped out a new wheel the same day. I was back up and running in 4 days. If they already have a spare disc they might even give it to you and just keep the new one when they get it. Be sure to have the bikes serial no. when you go in. That was all I needed. No paperwork whatsoever. Good Luck!
