Can think of it just as a personal dilema..Did it advocate any given position?..Just recanting a personal situation...Can be used as advocating birth control...Of course some elements are against that...

I thought the film was remarkably even-handed. The movie is largely a historic portrayal of a point in time in Britain, and it's useful to be reminded of the "bad old days". Most of the western world other than the US has moved on insofar as abortion is concerned.
Imelda Staunton was superb.
