Road Cycling - best carbon fork

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm in the process of looking for a carbon fork, BUT who makes the best carbon fork? Is an all carbon fork better than a al/carbon fork? I do lots of climbing/desending rides. I'm a small rider 5'-5"/150 and ride a 53cm bike. The brands EMS,PROFILE,AME,REYNOLDS ETC... any advice would be helpful. thx VIKEAZ

Hi.
For a guy as light as you, there should be no problem at all going " full " carbon.
Any of the brands you mention, are reputable and make very good products, but there is a handicap toward the Reynolds Ouzo Pro among many riders. It seems to be the prefered for itsw strenght, stiffnes & road irregularities absorption.
I personally ride a Mizuno full carbon, it is beautifull in its design and has all of the above qualities, taking into acount that I am not a small and light guy as you: 6 Feet and 163 pounds.
If you can not find a Mizuno, go for the Reynolds,
Hope this helps.
Thisis a question that cannot be answered. You will get tons of different answers. I myself love the AME. Thay have been around for a loong time and make the best carbon fork as far as stiffness goes.
Take note many forks have the same rake and trail, but some are differnt so look into this.
For 2001 many companies are focusing on stiffness of the forks as many earlier models were very flexy.
