Foo - Been open fourty minutes and no one else has shown yet.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Biggest group of slackers, EVER. How hard is it to show up on time? One guy only lives five miles away. And how about a phone call. Another five minutes have passed, still no signs of employees :(

Some co workers of mine come in 1 hour late to a 2 hour shift. Friggin morons.
One of my co-workers comes in anywhere from 11:30am. to 1pm. The funny thing is no one says a word about. Not even the bosses!!! I'm eating lunch by the time he shows up.

Umm, thats crap. What are their excuses?
I work in my grandfather's deli over the summer and if I showed up 40min late without a good excuse my grandfather would fire me...
If I show up 40 minutes late, I make sure to stay 40 minutes and that makes a 40hr week and I'm good. As long as I get my stuff done, everyone's cool.

Some of us have jobs where we're allowed to surf the web if we aren't actively occupied.
For example, it's so slow here right now, if I didn't surf the web, I'd be staring at the wall. At least this way, I'm staying awake.

I work semi-flex hours. If I show up 40min late I take it off the 100's of hours of OT I have acrued.
At any other job I was never late though :)

They encourage me to surf the web, read books, whatever -
to keep me from getting bored and quitting (which is what would happen)
Rev. Chuck, are we talking about a bike shop?
You should fine them for being late, and instead of going on the computer looka t the pretty bikes :D

If they have a scheduled starting time and they're late that's BS man.
Is it the first day of a hunting season or something? Considering you are in NC, I think that might be a forgivable excuse.
