Mountain Biking - Does this look like a scam?

Ahh thats right, I was a little concerned as he had a stinky for 1k, a deelux for 1.4k and a primo for 1.3k ALL NEW 2004 Never used!

Stinky for 1000$ 2004 is an ok price. Thats not outrageous. they are cheap bikes. I can get them for 1400$cdn which is about the same as 1000$

Cheapest ive seen a damn stinky is £1200! thats like $2000!

OK heres the scoop a good and reliable friend said that it is probably a dealer, getting rid of old stock, and that bike companies dissaprove of selling the bikes at these prices. I think that they put the bikes up for a few days, enough to get somepeople interested, then take it down so the bike company doesnt find out and get pissed. Thats my take.

Is it the bike company's business if the people selling it want to throw away profits?
