Remember that movie?
I've never fallen asleep at a movie in my entire life except when I went to see that.
It sucked.
The animation was quirky but I thought it was boring.

Aw, I loved that movie. You might have thought it was boring because of the lack of dialogue, but I thought it was great without.

I've seen other features sans-dialogue that were a hell of a lot more interesting. I still don't see what people think is so wonderful about this feature. The animation style was interesting enough, but the plot and characters both lacked development and the direction just blew. Maybe it's just something that people found accessible in some way and just latched on to....I don't know. I could easily list a few dozen animated shorts, features, and series that put Triplets of Belleville to shame.

I liked the cycling stuff....It has bikes in it ... if you stay awake.
Oh my god! What an awesome movie! The biking was cool, but even without it, the film would be so cool! (Yeah, I said film.)
I've got that song in my head again. Damn! :)
interesting film - enjoyed it. The animation looked like animated "The New Yorker" cartoons.
I was more into it for the playing music on found objects part, but yeah, it was a good movie. I do always feel cheated for paying regular movie price for something under an hour, though.
Interesting thoughts I walked away with, like, if your kid has a spark of interest encouragement and support works wonders. And, never give up on your kids no matter how high the barriers that are presented. Or even, if you want to be competitive find a coach who is willing to devote as much time and energy as it takes to help you get there. Of course, there is the question of why dogs have to always bark at trains.
I was charmed by the movie, what interesting imagry.

OK. It wasn't the fastest paced movie in the world, but it had some sweet pleasures.
We watched it tonight at my club's weekly trainer ride instead of the usual Spinervals disc. It was oddly appropriate for time spent on the trainer. I probably didn't get as intense a workout as usual, but I had fun.
Good flick, lovely animation, funny set pieces, quirky character design, and cycling.

A lot of the stuff is somewhat historically accurate... from the Josephine Baker dance to the lady with the accordian in the TdF... so, who was the TdF winner supposed to be? I'm guessing Anquetil???

I thought the movie was about dreams, aspirations and an escape from the melancholy of day-to-day life. The dog dreams of being on the train. The kid dreams of riding in the TdF. The Triplets dream of a better time in their career. Overall, I found the movie to be quite enjoyable.

hhhhmmmm -- no deep observations about the movie coming to my brain right now.
I remember wanting to see it, but having no idea what to expect. I know it had me laughing a bunch and had some pretty dark parts to it as well (trying to remember if it was rated R). Basically, I really liked it.
I thought the movie was great. And I saw it before I started cycling. For what it's worth, the movie gets my seal of approval for those searching the forums.

If you're into animation and foreign films, indy films, this is a great movie. If you're desensitized by CGM and other Blockbusther Hollywood over the top films, look elsewhere.
