What do you use for reflectors, anything on you, like a vest or on your shoes? How about this?

That's not a bad idea, although I would think a strip of reflective tape on the back fender would work just as well and look neater (if that matters to you).

I also wear an orange vest (unfortunately, the winter coat I wear is black, so I need something), with a strip of white reflective tape down my left arm. Although the reflective tape doesn't stick well to fabric, I got around this by sticking duck tape to the fabric, then the reflective tape on the duck tape. (Although it still looks like it will only last about a month before it crumples up too much and needs to be replaced.)

And reflective cuff straps around my ankles.

I dislike battery lights and I don't commute THAT much.

I also ride a racing ATB and reflectors look like #%$@!

I use the reflective tape in 4 positions >all sides..around the tubes like racing stripes.

...and one red round reflecto like yours @ the seat clamp (for 'The Man').
I don't 'rely' on electric systems and I found them heavy...(yes, 1.5+ lbs is heavy).

Oh >my cycling clothes have little reflectos too.

I use refective tape far easier to deal with. I have red on my red bike and black on the black parts. also black on my black helmet. so in daylight it does nto stand out.

I've been looking for one of those, it would be a good match and all ... I would get a lot of stares from the people, this caped man on a blue bike rolling past a shopping center. Everybody would look and be like WTF!!

I can picture that, it would make a good clip, maybe i should get someone to film me. I've always wanted a like costume of one of the star wars characters. I will dress up, and ride around outside somewhere , people will look with stun, and I will be rich from sending it in to funniest home vidoes :rolleyes:

My commute is ever so reflective for a matte black stealth wagon.

On the rear there's red reflective tape on the mudguard and seatpost, as well as proper reflectors on both. There's a strip of white 'flec on the rack-back, big arrows on the panniers, and skulls on the messenger bag. At the front I have a strip of white on each bar-end. And I run pedal reflectors, gloves and jacket with some 'flec.

I think the best reflectors a good set of pedal and wheel reflectors. When people see the wheels spinning and pedal pumping they automatically know it's a bike.

Yeah, any thing that's both reflective and moves (pedals and wheels) seems to be most visible. My favorite new reflective tape location is on my wheel rims, between the spokes (and on the brake surface for my disc braked mtb.). The movement is great, and it can be seen by almost anyone coming up behind you or from the front, unless they are perfectly dead on behind you. For cars that are slightly to the side, it's very visible and has a lot of movement. Two 6 inch sections on opposite sides of the rim gives a nice blinking effect at most speeds.

Well they are very illegal under cars and In some places they might not stand a chance on bikes. I honestly dont know if I should be having them or not, but becasue they are so rare, I dont think it will be much of a problem.

I disagree. Even though they may seem like a bit out there to be safe, they are exactly the opposite. Unlike reflectors you will be spotted from the side even when there is no oncoming light. They are extreemly safe and can be seen by anyone. They can also be purchased in a range of colours. I actually didn't know they existed before my cousin and I thought of the idea, then I managed to wire it up with a bit of electrical knowlegde and presto! They're great! I later found out they can be purchased on this site by Fossil Fool (http://www.fossilfool.com/down-low-glow.htm) , and they have the same concept. I think there a great, safe way to ride at night or commute at night aswell as reflectors...

I have seen spokey dokeys that light up as the wheel revolves at --- Wal Mart. Also tireflys are nice and i use reflective tape on the rear fender( cut it in half to avoid a bubble )and apply it on the left and right sides of the fender. Rivendell has reflectors that attach with velcro to your spokes . A rear facing flashing led light is good for use on the seatpost.

I have "stick on" reflectors on my bicycle (head tube, side of down tubes, side and back of dhain stays. I have Krazy-glued reflective material to the rear of my saddle and even to the rear of my cycling shoes. I wear a reflective vest and there is a blinking light on my seat post. I wlso always wear bright colors.
