Ok so I am building a SS MTB. In the process I bid on a KHS Montana Comp on eBay and won it for $25. Not bad, I had one of these back in the day and they are nice bikes. Problem is it didn't come with a fork and finding one has been a bit of a chore. It is a 1" steerer and I want to go threadless but I can't find a 1" threadless rigid fork for any reasonable price. Also I can find like 1 maybe 2 rigid suspension forks so not a lot of help there either. Anyway I also got a 1 1/8" KHS frame and will have just about everything to build it up as I have a friend upgrading his bike and will sell me the stuff cheap.

Do I just forget all about the older frame? Anyone got a source for a 1" rigid fork for a reasonable price? Anyone need a 1" head tube MTB frame cheap?

I have a rigid 1" aheadset fork from a nishiki circa 1996/97 that has been laying around since I put a bouncy fork on it in 98. you can have it for free. email or pm me your info and I'll send it out to you asap. it is a darker green color. not forest green but not celeste green either. no bearing race, canti mounts are good, full cro.mo,one fender eyelet, and soime scratches from mounting lowriders with clamps.
