Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - SF critical mass roll call

Who's in this month? I think we're gonna have a nice clear night, unlike last month.

if we have a good sized crew, we should arrange a specific meeting time and place. Last month I met Terror-in-pink and Fabian, but more or less by chance. We should all meet up and say hi, pass a bottle around, etc. Of course, we'll get seperated during the ride, but it'll be cool to meet up first. Maybe get some pics, etc.

I propose in front of Noah's bagels (a half a block from where the rest of the bikers will be milling about), maybe 20 minutes before the Mass starts.

hey i'd be down for this. this would be my first critical mass too, haven't had any desire to do it till now because i heard it was a really easy way to crash a bike, what with all the drunkies around, is this true? i mean, my bike's no masterpiece but id like to keep it semi-pristine.

hmmmmm.... i'd have to say untrue. i've never crashed my bike during mass. from what i gather, most people make it a biking event rather than a drinking event. make sure you are skilled at riding really slow!

damn, i'm in marin all day tomarrow, was planning on catching sunset at this nice italian joint right on the water, if we do not head towards sonoma which has happened more times than not, i'll push up dinner and head in early and make it out....

so to those saying maybe because of work.....jeez if i can move my sunset plans up you would think that a little thing like work wouldn't get in the way :rolleyes:

I'll be there. I expect to meet a few buddies behind the second embarcadero building. About 1 block NorthWest of the fountain. I'll be on the gray Zanotti. Just follow the smell of of doobage and beer.

It seems to me that aerobars (not aero levers) are quite rare on fixies, and with those other qualifiers I would make my ride fairly unique. (Honestly, centerpulls and aerobars?)

There's no way that I'm gonna make it back up to SF for CM, but if some of you guys are going to be at ZG I may drop by there after the train. Let me know, I'd like to have a few beers after what has been a rough work-week...

CM usually starts at 6, right? let's say 5:50 or so? I was just thinking I'd get there and hang out, see who else shows up and when the mass takes off, just join in.
