General Cycling Discussion - Going to Denmark this weekend, anything I should get?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So I am thinking that in the little time I have not working in Denmark this weekend and early next week I should see if there are any sweet cycling related items I could pick up.

Any thoughts? Not exactly sure what I am looking for in terms of suggestions, guess I will just have to look when I get there, but maybe there is a must have or at least must look at while there. :D

An au pair? Wait, that's not cycling related, unless she lets you get more time on the bike...

How about a jersey from a local amateur cycling team? I doubt you'd find anyone else with that jersey in central PA! Maybe if you post something in the "ride partners" forum you could find someone to ride with (assuming you could rent a bike from a shop). Have fun on the trip! I've never been to any of the Scandanavian countries, but I'd like to go there some time... just not in the middle of the winter! :)

LOL No doubt. The company we are going to visit is our sister comapny and they actually ship us 12 cases of Tuborg every Christmas.

HigherGround - I am sure I wont have any time to ride. We leave State College at 2:30pm on Sat and get to Copenhagen a 9:15am on Sun. Then I guess we spend the day trying to figure out what day it is after 10 hours of planes plus layovers plus a train from Copenhagen to Harlev. Then we work Mon and Tues and leave on Wed at 2:15pm. So there is some time on Wed morning but it will be A) Dark and B) Cold. So either Sun or Wed am I will look for a bike shop.

I highly doubt any shops will be open on a Sunday. If I were you I'd bank on Wednesday.

I guess you're stuck picking up an au pair then :) Can you get one for me too? I don't have any kids, but she doesn't have to know that! Seriously, have a great time on the trip.

You could pick up some bacon and some lego while you're there.

I dig the wood fenders, and the suspension seat is interesting.

The bike pioctured is a Dursley Pedersen ,they tend to be quite light Have a Dursley Pedersen shipped to you by a bike shop. They are supposed to be very comfortable.Woven hammock saddles should also be available for ventilation.
