General Cycling Discussion - anybody seen this? It looks awfully expensive for what it is

Just do tape. Much easier, cheap, and really, who cares that much about weight?

I might, and I do mean might start worring about bike weight IF I ever get down to under 10% body fat AND have a big contract to win bike races.


Since none of that is very likely for a slightly over weight 36 year old rider, I doubt I will ever have to worry about it

Velox or Zefal rim tape for me. Imagine if those little SOB's were just the wrong size. Oh Nelly

Not that bad an idea. But they're just plastic hole plugs. Go to a hardware or auto parts store and spend 5 bucks instead.

but its at the rim! the most important place to shave wieght! If I had those, I'd be dropping lance.

Pfft, anytime you have any weight savings anywhere, no matter the cost, someone will want to buy it.

imagine if they were partially made of carbon fiber, the company who owned the patent would be rich
