My Spyder 99's have started making a bad klunking noise. I've greased them every five rides or so, and always maintained the oil level.
I've tried taking them apart (as much as I can) and rebuilding them, and when I put them back together they seem fine. However, after a few compressions they just start to klunk again. They're not bottoming out, they're just not springing at all. There is no sign of damage anywhere on the fork.
Is it possible to remove the outer legs on the 99 Spyder? On the Answer site it said it was, but I couldn't see anywhere to unscrew them.
Can anybody give me any suggestions? I haven't ridden for two weeks now... Help!
