Recreational & Family - Cyclist volunteers – Meals on 2 Wheels (Toronto)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Cyclist volunteers – Meals on 2 Wheels

We are already looking for Cyclist volunteers interested in participating in our Meals on 2 Wheels at St. Christopher House. Our Meals on 2 Wheels program depend on volunteers who are willing to use their bicycles to deliver meals to seniors, disables, chronically ill, those who have just been released from the hospital, and others who are unable to prepare their own meals with a hot nutritious meal.

We are located in the west-end downtown Toronto (at 248 Ossington Ave -Dundas West and Ossington area). Our catchment area for this program is Bloor to the Lake and between Bathurst and Roncesvalles Ave. The program runs all 7 days of the week between 11am and 1pm.

If you are interested, please, contact Jennifer Woodill at (416) 532-4828 ext. 105 or by e-mail: jenniferwo@stchrishouse.org.

Thank you very much,

Fernando Lusvarghi

(The program starts in April but we´ve already started recruiting as we have to go through a screening process.)
